The Arcais Palace Oristano, is located in the heart of the city on Via Umberto I, known to the Oristano’s citizens as Via Dritta, was strongly desired by the Marchese d’Arcais, the noble title of Don Damiano Nurra Conca, and the name Palazzo Arcais comes from two fishponds, Arcai Mannu and Arcai Pittiu, owned by the Marquis of Zerfaliu.

The façade of the Arcais Palace Oristano is very simple and monotone made of red trachitica stone, and its austerity is interrupted only by the circular wrought iron balconies. Inside, the dome illuminates the entire living room and circular stairs leading to the upper floors. Recently restored by the Province of Oristano, currently the Arcais Palace is used only for cultural events.
