The Basilica of Nostra Signora del Rimedio Oristano, is located in the hamlet of Donigala Fenughedu, a few kilometres from the city. It is a great half of pilgrimage and Marian devotion, gathering every year, in September, tens of thousands of faithful from all over Sardinia.

The first mention to the Basilica of Nostra Signora del Rimedio Oristano is in some documents dated to the end of 1600. The current structure of the Basilica, consists of a typically Lombard architectural style. It was only in the early twentieth century that the still existing octagonal cupola was built, the overhanging and the bell tower still on the left side of the facade of the Basilica of Nostra Signora del Rimedio Oristano.
